A.D. Winston Corporation was founded in 1958 ago by Mr. Arthur D. Winston. The firm specializes in quality HVAC installations, where as opposed to speculative work, the owner is the ultimate user. To date, A.D. Winston Corporation has installed over HALF A BILLION DOLLARS worth of work.
The firm has developed a reputation and prided itself on the fact that only highest quality projects at competitive prices will be undertaken. The majority of business to date is a wide variety of new and alteration work primarily consisting of Institutional work, Residential/Hotel Hi-Rise Buildings, Industrial and Commercial High-End installation.
PRINCIPALS
Arthur Winston, Charles Rodstrom, Salvatore Barbera, Mark Condon, Peter O'Connell, and Matthew Cebulski
Charles Rodstrom, P.E. CEO is in charge of marketing and sales, Sal Barbera; President has had 35 years of experience and is in charge of daily operations. In addition, Sal currently serves as the President of the NYC Mechanical Contractors Association (MCA) and is on the Board of Directors for the Building Trades Enterprise Association (BTEA and New York Building Congress (NYBC). Mark Condon, Executive Vice President, has been in the Mechanical Contracting field for over 20 years and is the Chief Estimator of the firm. Matthew T. Cebulski, Vice President, has 16 years of experience, and is in charge of Project Management.
STAFF
Our Construction Division is led by the guidance of our Senior Project Executive Kenneth Klapak, over 40 years experience and Paul Murray, 20 years experience are our general superintendents.
Our project managers include Jeremy Welch (17 years experience) and Steven Mendes (14 years experience) and Joe Casale (12 years experience) and their assistants.
A.D. Winston's accounting staff is versed in ICIP requirements, certified payroll, and is fully computerized. Peter O'Connell, who has over 20 years experience in Construction accounting, directs the accounting staff.
In addition, our office staff of administrators, expeditors, and estimators ensure our daily operations run smoothly.
Finally, our company is fully versed in the latest construction industry computer technology. This includes three- dimensional software as well as the latest version of Cad.
BONDING & INSURANCE
Presently, we have a bonding capacity of 10 million dollars per project. We also carry maximum insurance limits.

- All members of the organization work in close contact with the company principals at every stage of a project contract.
- A.D. Winston has maintained a reputation for top quality piping by employing steamfitters from Local 638. It also has its own HVAC service organization, which operates on a 24-hour seven-day basis and offers the same personal service as the construction division.
- Finally, it must be said that our firm HAS NEVER FAILED TO COMPLETE A PROJECT in its 50-year history. A list of projects, both turnkey and plan and spec, is available.
- High End Residential, Condominiums and Co-Ops and Hotel
This includes Hotels (Park Central, Lowes Regency, Hilton) and College Dormitories (Manhattan College and Brooklyn Law School). Also a single - family Manhattan townhouse with a $4,000,000.00 (that's right 4 million) HVAC System.
- Alteration Projects (Commercial & Retail)
This work is generally done on a "Fast Track" basis and includes EMI Music and Publishing as well as high end retail stores such as Fortunoffs, Tiffany, Prada, and Asprey.
- Special "One of a kind jobs"
This work allows ADW to exercise its abilities in "out of the box" construction. Included in this category is a COGENERATION PLANT for a major NYC office building, an underground pollution cleanup Biosparge Plant (call us and we'll tell you what that is). We also have completed many replacements of boiler and chiller plants, complete with temporary equipment to keep the building on line during construction.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Over the years, our firm has earned the reputation of combining quality installations with personal service. We pride ourselves on our experience, attention to detail, and competitive pricing. A. D. Winston has completed a number of jobs in every category of HVAC. Although we are primarily HVAC Installation and Service Contractors, we complete a number of design/build projects each year. Our staff of Professional Engineers can provide all engineering services including mechanical drawings, related Building Department work, and value engineering.
